Thinking of Travelling at the last minute?
Hoping to book a fantastic deal on the internet?
Please remember we do not have last minute appointments
You should attend at least 8 weeks before departure
If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to contact reception and ask for a holiday vaccination form. Once completed please hand in at reception and then you will be advised of the next step.
This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.
There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below
It is important that you complete this form as soon as possible - at least 8 weeks before you travel - as an appointment will be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations. These vaccines have to be ordered by the pharmacist via your prescription (NHS prescription charge may be applicible). Your appointment needs to be at least 4 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.
Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.

You may be aware that from the 30th of June 2015 all GP practices are required to provide their patients with a named GP, who will have overall responsibility for the care and support that our practice provides to them. This has been done for all existing patients, and all newly registered patients will be given a named accountable GP on registration. For convenience, your named accountable GP will be the doctor you are registered with.
If you wish to be told the name of your named accountable GP, please ask the receptionists when you are next in the surgery.
If you contact the surgery for an appointment you will be offered an appointment with your accountable GP only - This is to promote continuity of care
All patients registered at Dr Ahmed & Dr Mansoor's Surgery - Newton Heath Health Centre have been allocated a named accountable GP.
Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges. Examples include the following:
